Personality & Traits
General Overview | Fry’s most distinguishing feature is his height. Or lack of it. Fry entered the corp at the bare minimum height requirement and it’s been a plague to him, dealing with short jokes and the like all through boot and AIT. Yeah, Fry’s short and it’s pushed him through his service. Fry believes everyone see’s him as inferior and he works very hard to prove any detractors wrong. Given that, he earned Corporal stripes early and it’s given him confidence. But also gave him something of a Napoleon complex and he’s developed a bad habit of questioning orders. Which can be fine, in it’s place. In other places, it can cause him to argue more than is really good for an NCO. |

Personal History | Tyr was born and spent the first five years on Proxima Centauri b, specifically within the Lake Meghra region. His parents are part of the Lakeshore Theater group as stage actors. Tyr loved the performances with the theatre orchestra and took to music about the time his parents signed to tour aboard the Federation Cultural Exchange ship Spinward Lyceum. For the next five years, the ship crisscrossed Federation space and select non-Federation invitation venues, where the ships troupe put on plays from all over Federation space. Tyr took part in some of these performances, but by the time the five year tour was over, had found his personal taste leant more toward music. He began studying music then and loved it, dreaming of being a performer aboard a starship, taking music throughout known space and reveling in that travel. Along with his brothers and sister, (who all are within an year or two of his age), Tyr put together a small band which helped showcase street performances when he was eight and nine. At age seventeen, he applied for Juliard back on Earth, wanting to study music composition and performances. They told him he wasn’t quite up to their measure and suggested other schools. Instead, Tyr impetuously joined the Marines to study on his own, travel and see something rather than the inside of a classroom. The culture shock was impressive, to say the least. He found he liked the structure and challenge of the Corps. On the down side, he barely squeaked through the height requirement and dealt with frequent jokes about his height all through boot and AIT. So busy being a marine and learning that culture, he fell away from music and only found the spare time recently to take his electric guitar (Black Betty) out of storage and begin studying music again. Professionally, he’s a good marine, but doubts it’ll be his life. Like all marines, he’s cross trained in Damage Control (and recently qualified as a team leader, part of his Sergeant qualifications), and also is cross training in communication systems technology, to help maintain the MARVEL suits. |
