Mission:
Episode 15 - The Evil That Lies Beneath
Location: Sickbay - Deck 5 - USS Pioneer
Timeline: MD005 0900 hrs
Narin entered sickbay for the second time that week, relieved that this visit wasn't prompted by a medical issue. Instead, he was here in search of information. Following his meeting with Lieutenant Jayna, he was on a mission to gather more details about the missing crew.
He looked around, hoping to locate Kimba.
Kimba heard the doors to Sickbay open and walked into the Sickbay proper to see a familiar face. "Hi Narin." She said. "How are the vitamins working for you?" She asked.
"Hello." Narin greeted with a nod. "The vitamins are working great, thank you," he replied
"Good." Kimba said with a smile. "What can I do for you?"
Glancing around briefly, Narin refocused his attention on Kimba. "When did you last see Commander O'Rourke?" he inquired.
"Just before her meeting with Commander McGowen." Kimba said. "After the Commander had left we found the Doc gone."
“And you haven’t been able to locate her since that meeting, correct?” Narin looked at Kimba.
"Yes, we tried her quarters, and anywhere else she might be." Kimba said. "We then reported her disappearance to Security."
“Where did she meet with Commander McGowen?” Narin asked.
"I was in the dispensary, so I didn't see anything, but the Doc usually begins her consults in her office before moving into Sickbay proper to perform a physical examination." Kimba said. "Assuming everything went the same way this time, I say the CMO disappeared from near the biobeds outside her office."
Narin nodded, thinking back on his own medical exam. He recalled that she used a tricorder with him. She would have likely done the same with Commander McGowen. "Do you know if she left anything behind, like a tricorder?"
"I did find a tricorder out of place, like someone just picked it up and put it on the nearest available surface." Kimba said. "I put it aside, in case there was something wrong with it." She added.
"Could I take a look at it?" Narin asked.
"Of course, I'll go fetch it." Kimba said entering the despensery, only to return moments later with the medical tricorder. She offered it to Narin.
"Thank you," Narin said accepting the tricoder from her. "I'll bring it back."
"Okay." Kimba said. "Is there anything else, because I've got to pick up Helena, the Doc's daughter from school."
"No, that's all for now. I appreciate your help, Kimba." Narin replied with a friendly nod. "I'll make sure to return this as soon as I'm done."
"Good." Kimba said. "Good by for now." She added left the Sickbay.
