Mission:
Episode 15 - The Evil That Lies Beneath
Location: Chief Security Officer's Office - Deck 9 - USS Pioneer
Timeline: MD004 1000 hrs
Rowena walked in to the office of the security chief. "Lieutenant? You wanted to see me about the disappearance of the doctor?" She looked around the office. She hasn't yet spend time here. She looked a bit uninterested at her fingers. "I don't have much time, I have to speak to a lot of department heads."
Ja'sol looked up from his computer screen. " Yes I am currently looking into her disappearance, Any information you have would be appreciated. So please tell me about the last time you saw her and when you noticed her disappearance. "
Rowena tried to recall. "So I was supposed to meet up with her, but when I got to sickbay, she was gone. I didn't see her. There was no one else. Nurse Ze came in after me. But I don't know if he knows more. The last time I saw her was the follow up after I ended up after the away mission. So I don't know if i am of much use to you. "
Ja'sol spoke softly to no one in particular. " The computer says she's not on the ship, There is no record of anyone transporting off the ship using our transporter. Nor did the computer record any other vessel transporting anyone off the ship. All the shuttle craft are accounted for, so how the hell did she get off the ship? " He asked himself and then glanced up at Rowena. " Sorry about that. But something just isn't adding up here and i don't like it. " He thought a moment. " I guess this is where I go and talk to Nurse Ze and find out when he does or doesn't know. " He stood up and started walking out of the office. " If you think of anything that might help or remember later, then please let me know. "
"I do," Rowena said to stop him in his tracks. "You see, if she is not on board, did not transport off the ship, didn't use a shuttle craft. "Maybe she still is but isn't on the ship. And that may sound crazy, but Star fleet is no stranger to alternate universes, other dimensions, pocket universes. Maybe the Pioneer passed an anomaly on the way and the doctor could have gone missing before I could get in to sickbay to get my result. And it is my guess that if you grill the nurse, he would not have any answers either. Like I said, he came after me in to sickbay. My guess is that he knows just as much as I do. Perhaps you should check the scan reports for any anomalies."
" Oh Gods!! " Ja'sol rolled his eyes. " Yes Starfleet has had it's fair share of reports Pocket dimensions, alternate universes and the like. That and most anomalies can be detected by the sensors, So she has been missing for less then twenty four hours that we know of. " He paused a moment. " Computer, Scan and report all detected anomalies near the ship in the past twenty four hours. " He inquired.
The computer chirped and then replied. *There have been two anomalies detected in the last twenty four hours. One anomaly was detected less then twenty four hours ago in sickbay. And there is currently one detected in the office of the Chief of Security."
Rowena sat quietly as the computer made it's report. She got up. "Curious. This Anomaly seems to move." Then a grin formed on her face. "Well, there is no point in denying it. I am responsible for the disappearance of the CMO, but now also of the Chief of Security. Perhaps you can find her here. But there is no one else to report it to but me, I am afraid."
A scowl appeared and Ja'sol reached for his Phaser, "It is you?!" the phaser lifting up his finger pressing upon the trigger-the energy beam lanced out, only to have its beam hit harmlessly on the wall. Rowena was no longer there. He let out a few curse words, then set out to go find out where he is and maybe the others.
