Last Time on Gone

Malificus however could not let this slide. The lights turned off and on again and Rowena had disappeared to Neil. However, she was still standing there as she slowly put Neil's suit down and looked to the body of a dead Paul Micheal. She grinned and then slowly reached to her badge and tapped it. "Security to the marine deck, Captain Merrick, please report to the marine deck, we have a security breach!"
And Now The Conclusion...

"Commodore Malbrooke, you might want to see this as well." She didn't forget to put the seriousness in her tone. And the award for best actress goes to.... Malificus thought to herself. It would be bad if grinning could be heard over the com. Luckily for her it couldn't.

That was curious Tyler thought, that Commander McGowen would be calling him away from the Bridge. It didn't matter what she had he would not leave the Bridge. Doing so would allow THEM to take control. He patched the internal sensors through to the viewscreen so he could see what went on. "Malbrooke here. I have you onscreen, I am unable to leave the Bridge at the moment."

Merrick had just gone back to his mapping out the incidents of disappearances, when he heard the call from-- Rowena. This was absolutely surprising to him, "I'm already on the deck." he responded, this was finally a chance to see Rowena with his own eyes. See her status, and see how far the possession had gone. "Sinclair, get here asap." at that end though Merrick headed to where Rowena was at.

"Please come to the Morgue, Edmund." Rowena turned back to face Malbrooke. "As I was saying, we have a security breach." She turned around and put the suit in view, clearly showing the dead body of Cornelius Tremble. "As far as I know, our Executive Officer hadn't shown up, think you mention something about it. I guess we know now what happened."

Internally there was a feeling of thrill and even enjoyment at the sight of the dead body. Not wanting to alarm the rest of the crew, at least not yet, the being that was Tyler kept those feelings internal. The real Tyler Malbrooke trapped in his own head was horrified by what he saw. He was horrified even more by the words that came out of his mouth. "Yes I would say we do. Shame, he was a good man. I will put this investigation into your capable hands."

"Eh. Commodore, one more thing, in light of these events. I think I should temporary take position as your first officer, wouldn't you agree?" Rowena gave meaningful smile at Tyler.

That which had Tyler knew where Malificus was going with this. However, appearances had to be maintained. "That would be the chain of command as you are the Second Officer. make sure you check in with Captain Merrick with your investigation, as I am sure he is going to want to participate. Report any findings to me." I have a pretty good idea where the XO is, and something tells me he will not be coming back. Tyler thought.

Edmund gave a nod towards Sinclair as she met up with him, "Thank you for joining me, I don't quite know what is happening but, Commander McGowan is in the Morgue where the suits are for the marines and for what reason I have no clue. And as for her being in what is to be a rather secure area. I am concerned, this doesn't bode well." they got to the Morgue, and the cycle that recognized Merrick's signature and the door slowly opened, stepping inside he let his eyes adjust to the lighting then focused on Rowena.

"Commander, it is good to see you." Merrick started, "What is going on? And just how did you get inside here?" he paused then said, "Wait a moment, Tremble is the first officer what happened to him. Commodore? What is going on?" looking from Rowena to Malbrooke then towards Sinclair.

"Major Tremble is Missing in Action, as is a number of the Senior Staff. For the time being Lieutenant Commander McGowen will be functioning as the Executive Officer, and you Captain Merrick will be in command of The Cure." Tyler said through the comm channel. He glanced around the Bridge to make sure that it was secure. To be safe he placed forcefields at all the entrances to the Bridge.

Rowena disconnected the communication with the captain and looked to Edmund and Sinclair. "How I got in here is not important. What is important is that I am in charge now of the investigation in to the disappearance of a number of the crew. Which we can now add a possible homicide to as well." She turned to the suit she was standing next to. "So far it is only the senior staff, which is quite concerning and now the Major too. I am quite concerned we may have an intruder on board." She took a deep breath. "But first lets clean up this body."

Edmund's face went impassive, except for the tightening of his jaw. He could see that his worse fear was realized, Rowena wasn't herself. "Yes, I can see that we have a concerning issue, I'll take the body to sickbay, myself and Sinclair can do that. Without any fanfare, and then lock things up as if nothing ever happened. Does that sound good for you, Commander?" Merrick already hitting the coordinates for the body to be sent to sickbay, watching as the body disappeared from view. He wasn't going to give Rowena a chance to countermand this. "There you go, it's been cleaned up. Is there some place you need to go Commander? I know I need to close things down here and put it in maintenance mode. That nebula is causing problems."

"Yes, I have a lot to do. I will send you my report later. Right now, I have to go to sickbay. Keep up the work, captain." Rowena took a few steps towards the door but then stopped. "Edmund, it's not good, you must stop her. You and Barr must save the ship. That is more important than anything." Then she turned her head and blinked. She looked a bit confused. But then just left the morgue.

For a moment there, Edmund saw the real Rowena, and silently cursed himself for not shooting her, he lost his chance though. However another thought came to his mind, what if that entity ended up transferring to someone else. Perhaps it was a good thing that he didn't shoot Rowena.

"Sinclair, we need to go."

Rachel nodded as she moved to assist with the body. This was shaping up to be a very long week.
