Mission:
Episode 15 - The Evil That Lies Beneath
Location: Deck 5 - USS Pioneer Pocket Universe
Timeline: MD005 0900 hrs
After their encounter with the faux Edmund, Hermia was on alert for what other tricks the entity might have in mind.
Thex let out a sigh as she opened another door. Behind it, another corridor seemed to stretch on into infinity. Where the hell was she? Letting the door slide shut she began scratching an x into the door. If only she had something other than a computer screwdriver to do it with.
Vura sighed as Thex came towards her and Hermia. The Andorian in need of serious psychological assistance and without any foresight.... Well, our job is to get out of here and if it requires Thex, so be it. Pleasantly, Vura called out, "Thex, is that really you?"
Hermia reached out with her mind as she saw a familiar face. Though she did not the Andorian well, she appeared to be the genuine article. "Thex, what are you doing here?" She asked.
Thex's antenna had begun twitching when they heard the footsteps. Feeling a sense of relief at not being stuck in here alone she turned to the familiar voices. "Yes, it's me. Glad I'm not the only one stuck wherever we are."
"We can explain on the way. Hermia and I are heading to the bridge," Vura responded with some urgency.
"Where the hell is this?" Thex asked as she fell in line. "I've opened up some of the doors, but they just lead to corridors that seem to go on into infinity."
"We're not entirely sure." Hermia said as they approached a turbolift. "Our best guess is some kind of pocket universe styled to look like the Pioneer," she added as she pressed the call button for the 'lift.
"Whatever the situation, we must get back and subdue Rowena," Vura asserted, hoping the turbolift arrived soon.
"Can we even get back?" Thex asked. "Will we need the Pioneer crew to pull us out?"
"We don't know." Hermia said. Before she could say anything further the 'lift arrived.
Vura entered the lift. "What is important is that we learn everything we can about this place and make certain that Rowena or the thing possessing her cannot take over Pioneer. Without knowing the rules of this place, we can't figure out our next steps."
Following Vura in Hermia said. "Agreed."
" Agreed," Thex said as she followed the two of them to the turbolift.
Once the three of them were ready, Hermia said. "Bridge" and the 'lift began to ascend.
