Mission: Episode 16 - Silent Cries
Location: Club Neverwinter - Promenade Lower Level - Empok Nor
Timeline: MD002 1900 hrs

A few steps inside, could it have been more than a few? Millie not wanting to bottleneck the entrance of the club. This was something wholly different than what she had experienced before. She gulped slightly then felt the music surround her and the reassuring feel of Tyr's hand kept her anchored. A few more steps Millie just gaping upwards towards the people dancing in mid air floating seeming to not have a care in the world. She turned to Tyr, "How are you when it comes to Zero G movement? Want to try that?" her dark brown eyes filled with excitement, meeting his.

Self conscious in his barbarian bird man outfit, he looked around and then met Millie's eyes. "We do lots of them. Thing to remember is small movements can lead to the best results." Tyr looked over the crowd and said, "Looks like everyone wears a spatial signifier that is controlled by the club's computers. It'll keep you in the stream you're supposed to be in and take over if safeties get tripped. "And the answer to your question is YES," unless you want something to drink first?"

"No drink yet."Millie giving a warm smile. "though, I am all for a drink if you need one before we venture out there. Just saying." giving his hand one more squeeze. "Either way I'm good." she was already catching the beat to the music, her whole body moving slightly side to side.

Tyr squeezed her hand back and led the way to where a liveried server offered them the bracelets required for the the Collective experience. He could feel a sort of shock zip through him as the bands connected him and then he winked at Millie and backed into the stream. Immediately he felt the press of the crowd in his mind and person as the gravity stream collected him and the music began to thrum through him. Through all of them. He could feel what he thought was excitement, a sense of connection and other things he couldn't quite pull apart yet.

With great interest, Millie took a look at the bracelets that were offered, the design, and in the back of her mind she was curious as to how these worked. The moment the bracelets ends met,her wonderment about the make up of them went completely out of her mind. For a woman who had mostly cut herself off from the ebb and flow of life, the connection that she felt from the music, the heightened sensations of feelings? it was almost too much.

The wink from Tyr, the squeeze from his hand, and him stepping into the dance floor, Millie's hesitation was only a nano second then with a laugh she stepped inside the same stream with Tyr. Breathing in deeply of the atmosphere, having closed her eyes just to try to take it in, her eyes opened hers meeting his. Was she connecting with Tyr; with others? She was getting something, was it from-him? Could Tyr feel her interest in him?

WIth a lot going on around him, Tyr kept a hold of Millie's hand and the actual physical touch within the gravitational field seemed to amplify that. He could feel...was it an electricity between them? He liked her and as the sonic waves coursed through his body, he wanted to believe she liked him too. The lingering look. The occasional brushes. His rational mind flagged at him to keep in mind it could be the drug like effects of the Collective. In zero g, moving too aggressively could send you out of the control. The grave field in the club however seemed to buffer the participants and kept it from becoming a mosh pit.

Then the DJ, a wildly gyrating dusky skinned human male in body paint and some sort of squid like mask called out. "It's that time my lovelies," his amplified voice sounded through all of the participants. "Time for Flayer's Choir. Join in the song and get five percent off your next round of beverages!!!" A low thrumming beat began, with sharp counterpoints as the beat to an old, familiar song began strobing through the club. The sonic effects enhanced and the lyrics to the song began scrolling where all could see them as voices from the participants rose to mingle with the music, the patron's link to one another actually deepened and Tyr sang along, maintaining his handhold with Millie. Singing to her and everyone.

When the first down beat began, Millie's head turned towards Flayer, she knew this song! The song was Hit Me Baby One More Time! When Tyr started singing, Millie's jaw dropped open, her attention drawn back to him. Hearing his voice as he crooned along with the music, she was wowed by his singing. The first part she listened intently, her eyes locked with his. Her fingers interlocked with his, her pulse quickening. As the song progressed Millie couldn't help herself, she joined in.

Taking Tyr's other hand to where they were facing each other, and somehow they were spinning slowly around in a circle as they sang. As the song progressed, Millie worked it to where she was facing outward and Tyr's arm around her waist, him against her back, slowly swaying side to side. One hand still connected to his, she slowly unwound herself out of his arm. Millie was beaming at Tyr when she faced him once more as she continued to sing with him. This was such a powerful moment for her, feeling even more of a connection. What was it about Tyr that was opening the door even further where her former self was hidden?

He closed his eyes as the music washed through them. It made him a bit itchy and he freed one hand and gave her a smile, looking deeply into her eyes. Except Tyr never opened his when he did it. His free hand found the controls on the bracelet and slowly he began adding a verticle tumble to their slow spin. "We're planets...orbiting suns," he whispered as the song continuied to wash through and he picked up the next verse.

Noticing that Tyr's eyes were closed and yet Millie knew that he was returning her gaze. How could she tell that was what he had done? It was evident, the connection that was made. Closing her own eyes, Millie began the tumble as what he suggested, enjoying sensation it was creating. She listened to the verse Tyr sang, gosh his voice was so melodic and filled with a passion. Millie's otherwise graceful movement stuttered slightly, feeling a small piece of thought, fight to the surface. Was she being rational or irrational letting herself feel more than what she normally allowed? She mentally kicked the negative thought out.

What was happening, wasn't wrong, and it wasn't wrong to feel. It wasn't wrong to feel attracted to Tyr,strongly attracted. As she continued to tumble and slowly spun, Millie thought she saw a pair of translucent butterfly wings upon her back that had been damaged and that they were starting to heal. Oh gosh, she started to like Tyr from the first moment they had met!

Tyr was lost in the music. And in chasing the fleeting feelings and thoughts of others as they bubbled around him, the stray thoughts popping as fleeting as dreams. His own brain began to go numb and he just went with it as the song began to come to an end and he and Millie, still holding one another's hands drifted toward the edge of the gravitational well, the field taking control, shifting them to upright positions and the music died off as the sonic wave ebbed and he felt his mind clear. His eyes opened for real at that point as the euphoria faded. He still felt exhilarated and his heart rate wasn't hammering as he smiled into Millie's eyes. "Well," he said searchingly as his brain thawed. "That was something.."

Millie didn't look away from Tyr's gaze, her own eyes crinkling up with her smile. At the moment Millie couldn't speak; instead she acted. Without a second thought Millie pulled Tyr close her arms slipping around him,her lips meeting his. When she kissed Tyr, her lips were warm and gentle and yet to her there was an undercurrent of electricity. As in wow! Her eyes had closed when she kissed Tyr.

Tyr was surprised by the kiss. He'd kinda sorta hoped they'd get there by the end of the evening. His hands slid around her waist and he leaned into the kiss. The after effects of the shared dance experience with so many and now this left him light headed. All too soon and after many many rapid heart beats, they broke the kiss and he smiled goofily toward Millie, "Well wow."

A quiet self-conscious chuckle. "Wow is right" Millie's cheeks going warm, as she ran her hand along Tyr's cheek. She leaned her forehead against his. "D-do you want to do some more dancing or go somewhere to get something to eat and drink? "

Later, he was going to blame it on the after affects of the sonic wave. He slid a hand briefly over her bottom and gestured toward a nearby high-top that had another couple. "Quick drinks then back on the dance floor? I remember a notice saying to stay hydrated," he suggested."

"Sounds good to me." she wasn't certain but Millie thought she felt Tyr caress her buttock, she didn't freeze, which boggled her mind. Then again Tyr had contact with her bare waist and she didn't cringe at that either. What the heck was happening? Don't over think it, just have fun. Just breathe...

When they went to where the other couple was, Millie ordered a lemon ice, she liked the tang of the lemon and it was something that would hydrate nicely.

Tyr ordered something advertised as a Faerie fire which was advertised as an electrolyte, energy booster with traces of spiced Andorian vodka. It was spiced. And it gave him a bit of a bounce. Between that and Millie's kiss, he was feeling terrific. Taking her by the hand after they'd had a chance to cool down, he kissed her fingers and said, "More dancing Miss Millie?"

Tyr kissing her fingers and the smile that he had, sent Millie's heart fluttering once more, her cheeks turning pink and her eyes sparkling through the butterfly make up. "Oh yes please, I would love that very much." just beaming with delight. As Tyr drew her back onto the dance floor, a snippet of a song drifted through her mind. Take these broken wings and learn to fly again...
