Mission: Episode 16 - Silent Cries
Location: Andorian Fast Food - Promenade Lower Level - Empok Nor
Timeline: MD003 1600 hrs

The past couple of days were rather eventful but in a good way for Millie. She was feeling pretty good and she wanted to share the news with Vura. She kept herself from doing some skipping in the promenade; it was difficult to refrain from that but she managed. Tapping on her combadge, Millie send out a call. "Vura do you have sometime to meet with me? Maybe get an ice cream or something like that?"

"Millie!" the Deltan responded excitedly. If there was anyone in the world that could probably make her feel better, it was the nervous engineer. Vura's problems would all melt away because Millie had so many that she could simply forget her own. "Of course I have time to meet with you and ice cream sounds delightful. Will we be going to Empok Nor or somewhere on the Pioneer?"

"I was thinking of on Empok Nor or would you rather it be on the Pioneer? Have you gone onto the station during this shore leave? If not, it would do you some good maybe, for a change of scenery. What do you say?" Millie having more of a cheery lilt in her voice than she had before.

Millie was worrying about her? Now Vura's curiosity was up. This was very much unlike the woman that she had been counseling. Did she get taken over by a pod? She sounded like a woman who had just had a romantic interlude, which also was unlike the woman she had been counseling. This bore investigation. =^= I've been around, Millie. Just tell me where you would like to meet. I am rather anxious to hear your news. =^=

"How about we meet at the Andorian Fast food place. It has a variety of ice creams there. And I am definitely in the mood for an icecream, maybe even a banana split or a sundae. Anyway, see you there soon." She gave a happy little giggle, Millie signed off.

Oh my God! Millie must have experienced coitus! What in the universe happened in the past few days? Vura thought to herself.

Millie felt positive energy coursing through her body. She was still on a bit of a natural high, from the past couple of days. she glanced at the menu, her eyes on the banana split she was craving.

Vura arrived, dressed immaculately as usual. She approached Millie with a warm smile and wearing two sets of looped gold earrings, numerous bracelets on her wrists, and rings on her fingers. Completing the outfit was a short black skirt with a white trim, a black top that left her midrift bare showing off a belly button stud ring, and black pumps. Seeing Millie, she waved warmly. The woman is practically drooling. She must need the calories after exerting herself. I cannot wait to hear about this.

Millie turned around from looking at the menu as if sensing the force of nature named Vura, turned around to greet the counselor, returning the warm smile that Vura had. She took in Vura's attire. "You look smashing." Millie waved a hand towards the menu, "So, what would be something that catches your eye to eat?"

Vura's eyes continued to widen. This was a side of Millie that she had not expected to see this quickly. So, she decided to throw Millie off kilter. "If I said you, would you be offended?"

Millie's cheeks turned a dark pink, then gave a self-conscious chuckle. "Hmmn should I answer that?" placing a finger on her chin then giggling. "I could be offended but, should I be? Obviously from your comment this means I am actually pretty and not ugly. C'mon let's get a table." She walked into the fast food shop and took a seat.

The Deltan verbally "oohed," when she heard Millie's response. "My, my, Miss Millie. What has been going on with you? Did you and Mr. Turner finally do something that I have been hoping that you would do? Oh, do tell. There is something very different about you today and I personally like it very much."

Millie's jaw dropped open gaping at Vura "Wait me and Connor? Doing the bed tango?" Her cheeks grew darker but she wasn't going to hide under the table. "Nah we're not even close to that sort of relationship, I think we are just on the path of friendship. "

An Andorian waiter came over carrying two menus. "Here you go, ladies." She gave him a smile, his teeth a bright white against his blue skin.

"Thank you." Millie smiling.

Vura pushed the menu off to the side, not bothering to look at it. "Not you and Connor?" She leaned in and Millie could smell her strawberry breath. "My goodness. I would have thought.... I'm not often wrong but I have to say that something MUST have happened and there is another person involved. I'm never wrong about that sort of thing. You've changed too much in too short of a time. Tell me all about it."

"Well, I went to a dance club, and danced most of the night, wore an outfit that showed more skin than I normally would. Sang with a handsome man, and then I kissed him. It was amazing! And that is all that happened. Though later on the next day I worked with the new Chief of Operations dealing with a problem. It was magnificent, and that was the first time I have worked with a Klingon, and we won our battle with the operations and engineering difficulty. And he complimented me on the work I did."

Milly leaned back with a huge smile. "I just feel so good at what has happened. And I won my battle of not running away when on a date. How can I not be feeling good?!"

Vura leaned back and beamed at Millie. "My, my. You have made so much progress in a short period of time. The dam clearly broke. I'm so very happy for you. What clicked, Millie? Just a few days ago, I would never have guessed at this transformation. Something must have happened."

Millie breathed in slightly. "What clicked? Um it may have been the guy I met when chasing down a glitch in the ship's system. Just something about him didn't scare me. I won't tell you his name, as I don't kiss and tell. This is something that I want to take my time with. It is still scary. I don't know where it will end up and I am still fighting that battle, but I decided that to heck with my insecure feelings I had before and just go with the flow on the evening. Believe me, I wanted to run, but I didn't. I realized thanks to you, that it wasn't wrong for me to just enjoy something and have fun."

Vura squinched her nose at Millie. "You do realize that I am a counselor and anything that you tell me is in the strictest confidence. It is not like I am going to be going around the ship and gossiping about your guy friend. You can tell me without any concern."

She paused, "But, if you do not want to tell me, I won't force you, either. That's not my job. But knowing sometimes gives me insights and helping you is all that I desire. Either way, I'm so glad that you let go and enjoyed yourself. You deserve it."

"Well it, to me, is something to treasure and enjoy the moment." Her gaze became a little bit shy. "Now how about getting our dessert. And over the dessert, maybe... we can discuss me needing some help in getting a new wardrobe. Not as outstanding as the one you are wearing but, I do need some new clothing." Millie started getting a hesitant expression in her eyes. She did need some other clothing.

"You would like my help in picking a wardrobe?" The counselor's eyes sparkled. If there was something that she enjoyed and took pride in, it was her appearance and since Millie noticed it and complimented it, Vura was nothing but putty in the nervous engineer's hands. "I see. Well, then this is definitely NOT a counseling session at this point. This is a girl's trip out!" Vura's voice became extremely excited. She needed to replace Paisley and this new version of Millie might be just the ticket.

She clicked her long nails on the table with one hand and snatched the menu with the other. "So, Millie, tell me, are you looking for an entirely new wardrob or are you looking for an outfit for this special guy? And would it be for out on the town or in the bedroom? There's so much to consider. OH! We should probably look at what you already have! Then there is any potential credits that you have to spend."

Vura squealed. "This is going to be soooooo much fun!"

"That is great, so after eating let's head to my quarters and look at my well... drab clothing." Millie got excited about a shopping trip, and with Vura it may well turn into a bit of an adventure. Who knew what will happen with this.

"We'll look at your clothing," Vura confirmed. "I'll let you know if it is drab. Something tells me before your problem past that you would have had a much more diverse wardrobe, though. Perhaps you have some holos of you in that prior wardrobe?" The twinkle in Vura's eyes continued to sparkle.

"I probably do, we'll have to look when we get to my quarters. Oh, just to let you know I do have a roommate. Her name is Astrid." Millie smiled. "She's good people."

When the ice cream orders came, Millie dug into it with great zest and zeal. Enjoying the dessert of a banana split with everything. Whipped Cream, caramel, butterscotch, chocolate syrup, a cherry on top with walnuts as well. It seemed to taste better than it has done before.

Vura, on the other hand, knowing she was going shopping, was not going to risk getting messy. She chose a rosewater sorbet with candied petals. She ate it delicately. "So much I'm learning about you today.... A boyfriend.... A roommate.... Clothes shopping.... My, my, Millie! What fun we're going to have today. I'll have your gentleman suitor crawling all over you in no time!"

Millie, her mouth full of the dessert, barely managed to not do a spit take at Vura's words. Her cheeks turned pink and managed to get her bite down without choking. Her mouth cleared from the dessert she laughed. "It's good to see you smiling Vura." Sure, she may have stepped through another door to whatever would happen next but she felt good with the decision she had made.

"I almost always smile, Millie," Vura replied simply. "You've only really seen me in my professional capacity and my concern for you. So, perhaps you have not seen me smile as often as I could or should."

"You are right, I've not seen you much. Still though you look beautiful when you smile. And I am glad to see that," she said eating the last bites of her banana split, then eating the cherry she had saved for last. "I'm done. How about you?"

Vura's sorbet was only about a third eaten. "I've had plenty," she told Millie. "Let's get going. We have a lot of shopping to do!"
