Last Time on Girls Just Wanna Shop Part I

"Oh, I remember that nothing came of women, but who knows, maybe you want to try again, since you're the 'New Millie.'" Vura shrugged apologetically. She looked at Millie and realized that was not happening. "No? Well, no matter. We will get you all shopped until you drop!"

She then turned over to her co-conspirator. "Astrid, are we ready?"

"I am." Astrid replied getting up from her seat.

And Now The Conclusion...

There were two shops that Millie had looked up, One was Del Florias Tailors and there was Bullseyes Clothing and Fine Leathers. Tailor shops did make for rather well fitting clothing, but Millie didn't quite know how long they had before the ship was sent off to its new mission.

"How about we head to Bullseyes Clothing and Fine Leathers and see what they have there. Otherwise may have to do a holoprogram shopping spree and get my new wardrobe that way." Millie remarked, now ready to go do some shopping.

Vura frowned. She was rather disappointed that Empok Nor did not have more shops. If only Millie could have had this revelation on shoreleave on Betazed or Risa. Well, on Risa, she probably would only need her birthday suit. Vura thought to herself, chuckling lightly to herself. "Well, it will have to do," Vura conceded. "We might try the tailor, too. Get something super special there. That said, I bet you would look amazing in leather. Get something that bends with you and shows off what you have to offer...." Was Vura drooling in her voice?

Millie raised an eyebrow towards Vura, was the counselor purring? "Let's hope they have soft leathers there and feel comfortable. However, besides leather, it seems there are other clothing items. Oh, and actually buttery soft strappy heels, about an inch high and are comfortable, enough to run in." she had a pair like that once upon a time ago, they were Italian made.

"An inch?" Vura asked, blinking twice, her tone slightly disturbed. "Kitten heals?" She bit her lip lightly. "Um, I suppose that one pair of those would not be horrible, but where are you running to? Are you trying to get away?" She pressed her lips together harder before concluding, in a tone that was reminiscent of a teacher try to explain an abstract construct to a young child. "We'll sort it out."

"Vura, I wasn't running away when I wore heels that height. I was running towards someone. Trying to run in stiletto heels over soft ground, is asking for trouble. I darn near sprained my ankles trying that stunt. And two-inch heels are the highest I will go. Anything higher than that, I'll get a nosebleed." Millie stated that firmly.

"Fine," Vura relented with a disappointed tone. "For now, anyways," she added. "Come on, Astrid! Let's go! It's time to make Millie shine like the beauty we always knew she could be!"

"Oh gosh whatever you do, just don't argue as to what colors I am going to wear, please, I don't want to get in the middle of fairy godmothers fighting over what color my clothing should be." Millie's mind went into an odd image from Sleeping Beauty then she grinned. "Let's go, shall we?"

Astrid listened as the two women went back and forth, clearly comfortable with each other. She couldn’t help but wonder what exactly Vura had in mind for this trip, but she kept her thoughts to herself. Whatever her intentions, Astrid figured she’d let things play out and see where the day took them. “Yep, I’m ready. Lead the way.”

"Let's start at Fine Leathers. I'm sure we're bound to find something snug in all the right places for you there, Millie."

Millie laughed, "We'll see, if this little caterpillar is truly ready to come out of the cocoon? And begin to fly or will I crash and burn like Icarus who flew too close to the sun."

When the three women stepped inside the shop, Millie went towards the center of the store, just breathing in the scents of the place. She could tell that they dealt with real leather, there was that telltale aroma and she loved it.

"I think I have stepped into Paradise!" Millie exclaimed and clasped her hands together. Millie moved to where there were a selection of dusters, breathing in the scent as well.

Vura laughed at Millie's reaction. "Well, I'm glad that you believe that this is paradise. It seems that you have found a store that suits your tastes." The Deltan giggled again pleasantly. "Why don't we see what you pick out for yourself and then I'll peruse the area to see what else might look good on you."

"Okay that sounds good." Milie wondered just what Vura and Astrid might come up with.

This wasn’t exactly Astrid’s style, but seeing the excitement radiating from Millie made her smile. This isn’t about me—it’s about her. She reminded herself. If Millie was this thrilled about the store, the least she could do was play along.

Astrid casually browsed through the selection, running her fingers over the different textures of leather as she glanced around. Maybe she could find something that suited Millie’s tastes while also adding a little variety to her wardrobe.

Millie's eyes wandered towards the other section of the store, which had non-leather selections. Pretty clothing in different colors and were soft, and seemed comfy. She raced over there, running her fingers along the cloth, seeing if she could stand wearing any of them. Some had a silken texture. There were those that had a give to them. Leggings, tunic tops. Flirty blouses and dresses. She was like a kid in a candy store. She caught sight of herself in a mirror and stopped. Millie was worried that she was going out of control.

Vura was still in the leather section and she pulled out a shapewear leather dress. This will suit Millie in all the right places. The black dress had a zipper down the front, allowing the wearer to show or hide as much cleavage as the wearer dared. Definitely would highlight everything that should be on her.

The Deltan strolled up to Millie, holding the dress by the hanger and said, "Try this number on. You're going to look amazing in it."

Millie's moment of introspection came to an end when she heard Vura. Turning to see what Vura had, her mouth dropped open. "Oh, that is a sleek and slick number there. I'll try it on and also get an outfit combination I've been eyeing." She paused, "There does need to be some heels to go with this. Maybe, a darker color that would complement the magenta in my hair?"

"You have an outfit that you're eyeing?" Vura asked interestedly. "Do show me!"

Millie gave a nod, she paused for a moment to look at Astrid. "Do you have suggestions?"

The outfit that Millie had in mind, it wasn't too far from where the three women stood, and it didn't take long for her get the outfit put together. A pair of motorcycle boots which reached up to her knees, laced on one side with magenta-colored eyelets with a zipper to put the boots on faster and magenta trimming. Buttery soft leather leggings. to go with the black vest that had four buttons, which held it closed, the bottom of the vest coming into two points on either side of her navel. Millie had held it up to herself and smiled.

"Oh my!" Vura exclaimed, clearly surprised by Millie's choice. "I'm not sure what you are going to be riding with that, but whoever or whatever it is will feel lucky." Vura licked her lips lightly. "This Millie is going to be a lot of fun but it is slightly outside my expertise. I'm more of a fashionista, I suppose you would say."

Millie gave a chuckle, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Nothing wrong with being a fashionista. I actually have a motorcycle at home, one that I had restored. A 1950 Harley Davidson one that can seat two. my dad had a 1945 Harley that had served in WWII. This is something I've not really mentioned to anyone in academy when I was going there. It was my secret."

"By the way that you say that, I can only assume that a Harley is something special," Vura responded. What would a Deltan know of Terran contraptions? "Your secret is safe with me, even if I don't fully understand it."

MIllie looked at Vura. "Oh, then I will need to introduce this to you. I think that would be something you would enjoy learning about. It is quite the sensation." Millie actually knew that Vura was someone who was open to learning new things."

Millie turned back to Astrid, "So introduce to us what you like to wear?"

Vura smiled greedily at Millie, anxious for the new sensations. "When and where?" she asked. If Vura was a dog, she might drool at the prospect of this new experience.

"Don't worry, I will let you know." Milie gave a huge smile. "It is rather freeing and can be intense. We'll have to get that arranged in the near future."

Astrid glanced at Millie as she was asked to share her own style preferences. She took a quick look around their immediate area before turning back with a smirk. “Come on now, this isn’t about what I like to wear. It’s about you,” she said deflecting.

Millie slightly tilted her head to one side, "Are you sure about that? We know Vura's style and now you know sorta my style of clothing. It doesn't necessarily need to be all about me."

"Oh, I’m sure," she replied with a smirk. "But if you’re really that curious, my style leans more toward comfort and function. leggings, hoodies, things I can move in." She gestured toward herself with a playful shrug. "Not exactly the kind of thing you’d find in a place like this."

"Those days are behind you, Millie. No more hiding," Vura lightly chided Millie. "So, let's find things that are going to strut your stuff. Right?"

Millie cast her eyes over towards a section that she hadn't gone to yet.. "I see some comfort clothing as well. For now, I am going to go try these on." She took the clothing and headed into the dressing room. After a couple of minutes, she walked out to show off the outfits, turning around slowly. "Okay so... comfy clothing I am looking to get now. Leather and slinky things are well and good, but I do need to have something soft and snuggly as well."

Millie turned back to change back into her other clothing. "Comfy clothing land!"

"No, no, no," Vura answered. "You have a bunch of comfy clothing that hides you. We don't need any more of that on this shopping trip. However, maybe you do need something in lingerie. Something for a nice young man to see you in when you get taken to his quarters?"

"Well uh..." Millie blushing, "I will still want comfy clothing but with more color than what I had been wearing. But lingerie, I can get something."

"Yes, you can and you will," Vura insisted. "But, getting something more colorful in comfy clothes does make some sense, as well. Have you considered yoga pants? Very form fitting and stretchy." The counselor grinned knowingly.

"Absolutely I will be getting some yoga pants things that will move as I move. Anyway, I'll be back. It's time for me to be Millie whirlwind." She laughed before she went to get the clothing she wanted. In the case of lingerie, she picked out some that were silken and soft and definitely no harsh lace. She returned to where Vura and Astrid were at. "I am not used to going on a shopping spree with friends. It's been too long. I have had a lot of fun," Millie said laughing.

"It has been fun," Vura agreed. "I just can't wait to hear about what you wear on your next date and how Narin or some other guy drools over you."

"I'll think about doing such." Millie teasing Vura for a moment and gave out a giggle. "Okay I am going to head out now,see you both later." giving a huge grin. "and enjoy the rest of the evening." Millie leaving the store after purchasing her goodies.

Astrid watched as Millie left the store, then glanced over at Vura. “Well, this is going to be really awkward when I follow her back home,” she joked. She had half-expected them to walk back to their quarters together, but maybe Millie had other plans. Either way, she wasn’t about to chase after her.

“It was a pleasure meeting you,” she said with a small smile. Then, without much fanfare, she made her way out of the store. She wasn’t quite ready to head back to her quarters just yet. Since she was already off the ship, she figured she might as well take the opportunity to explore the station a little more.

"And you, as well, Astrid. I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot more of each other," Vura told her while waving.
