View Award - DeForest Kelly Humor Award

Sim Level Award
This award is meant to help us all remember that a bit of light-heartedness goes a long way; even in the face of danger.
DeForest Kelley was as much a comedian as he was an actor of the 20th century. Therefore, this is as much a tribute to him as it is an award to any recipient.

Sergeant Major Lachlan Barr Mon Nov 17th, 2025 @ 9:31am |
Given on Mon Nov 17th, 2025 @ 8:29am The quips during the battle post were fast and furious, but one character stood out from the rest in wit and memorability. Lachlan's taunts at the entity were inspired, and inspired others to be more creative as well. I feel he stood out from the rest and deserves this award. |

Lieutenant Ja'sol H'ros Mon Nov 17th, 2025 @ 9:20am |
A battle for the fate of an entire species is serious business. So, it takes some serious humor to lighten the mood from time to time. Ja'sol kept our spirits bright as we read through the posts of Silent Cries. His quips and dry sense of humor got even the most stoic of Vulcans to crack a smile. Well done! |

Lieutenant Commander Elen Diari Tue May 3rd, 2022 @ 3:20am |
Our very own blonde bombshell in engineering adds a hefty dose of humor and mirth to their posts. Even serious posts have a small amount of wit and sarcasm. Having someone like this on a sim is extremely important and we can't always have the mood be somber and filled with anxiety. Having someone to lighten the mood and and add some comic relief is always refreshing. Keep up the great work and thank you. |

"Thalk is an Engineer with a humorous flair. It is as if Scotty was a Klingon. His posts are a joy to read and almost always have me laughing. He also brings his lighthearted humor OOC on our discord channel. His unique view on how 20th century technology can integrate into the 24th century is a humorous one. For example he welds hull plating back on with an acetylene torch." -Commander Tyler Malbrooke- "What can one say...Thalk and his writer never fail to leave a smile on the face of either the people they write with, those of us lucky enough to read what's been written and those of us privileged enough to be able to interact with the writer over Discord. Josh's experience in theater is so clear to see in his writing style but also in how effortlessly he manages to inject humor into both his character and his writing. I can't think of a player any more deserving of this award." -Lieutenant Commander Patricia Montgomery- |
