Episode 17 - Going Home
Location: SS Enigma
Timeline: MD002 2200 hrs
The air pulsed with beats of the music, making the body move and sway. Through the fast filling dance floor, the two ladies drew their chosen dates to the center.
Ceceila holding onto Drew's hand. "I am a distraction you say? And do you truly need help in dancing?" Not that she was buying the fact he needed the help. Not for either sort of dancing.
"Well,' Drew drawled out as he followed Ceceila onto the dance floor," You're so distracting I might even forget my own name. As to the dancing, it's been a while, though with your help I might could remember."
"If you need the help, tell me what sort of music do you like to dance to." Cecilia leaned into whisper to Shy. "Then I can help you get more familiar with dancing. What are your tastes in music?"
"Ever hear of the Bachata," Drew asked innocently as he slipped one hand about Cecilia's waist and moved them into the press on the dance floor, moving his hips and shoulders in time with hers and the music. He knew the more they were into the middle of the dance, the closer they'd have to be one another.
"The Bachata?" Cecelia asked, as she followed Shy's lead, at that moment the music changed, as the beginning riffs of Santana's 'Smooth' began to play. Her movements soon matched Drew's the sensualness of the music and him, pulled her in.
Arms held out to the side, Andrew grooved with Cecelia and said, "It's a partner dance. Old Terran flowing tribal dance...very sexy."
Her voice becama husky, the dancing in such close quarters with Drew was rather exciting for Cecelia.
"Is this helping you to remember how to dance?" Cecelia smiling even more. "Dang, you're good." running her hands along his side, and taking his hands.
"You're fairly amazing yourself," Andrew told her as they moved to the center of the dance floor then found both the rhythm and then the flow with the others on the dance floor as the sound filled the space and they were swept away with the crowd in the swirl and mix.
As the DJ blended one song into the next, the tempo easing and Andrew drew Cecelia into his arms as a semi-slow song gave everyone a chance to catch their breath. Leaning close to Cecelia, he said against her ear "So what's a bad girl like you doing in a nice place like this?"
Goosebumps ran up and down Cecelia's arms, feeling the tickle of his breath against her ear. She gave a shiver of delight, Drew was sexy and enchanting.
"This bad girl was looking for someone who can match the fire within. Think you can be that someone?" Cecelia lifiting her eyebrows slightly. "Something tells me that, you could be that someone."
"That something and I need to have a conversation," Drew said easily, feeling a warmth building in his chest. He adjusted them to where he could catch what looked very much like the Captain slipping from the dance floor toward a table. Grinning, he turned back to Cecelia and said, "You talk of fire and I'm definitely looking for someone to burn with." The press of the crowd pushed them even closer together as they danced.
"Then lets set the place on fire." Cecelia whispered "We can leave Rose and your friend to their own devices, she has him well in hand." running her hand along Drew's chest.
Grinning, Andrew leaned closer and said, "Sounds like a good idea..I can't remember if I told you that my name is Andrew...just in case you want to scream it later..."
A husky quiet chuckle, as she moved her lips close to his. "Andrew, I'll be certain to do so." Cecelia kissing Shy, then led him off the dance floor.
For Edmund, Rose was just as much as a distraction, she discovered to her delight that he knew how to dance.
"Just where did you learn to dance." as he led her through some intricate dance steps.
"My older sister, she was determined that I would be her dance partner." Ed said with a smile. "She was very insistent." giving a warm fond chuckle as he thought of his sister.
"Oh did she?" Rose gave out a light laugh. "Well I am glad I get to be a recipient of her teachings. Besides being a marine, what else do you like to do? I'm sure you've got some other insterests besides fighting and dancing."
Rose seemed to be rather interested in Edmund.
"Well...I do like to draw." he gegan.
"Really? I'd like to see what you've done." Rose stated.
"Well I've not brought anything to sketch with-" Edmund began.
"Maybe later." Rose said with an inviting sultry smile, taking Edmund by the hand to where they would dance close.
With how close she danced with Edmund, his eyes widened, then fell into the music. Running his hands along Rose's side, then around her waist his hips swaying, her legs intertwining with his. This was something he'd never danced with his sister before.
When was the last time he'd danced like this? He did something similar, with someone. At the moment he couldn't remember who it was.
Rose turned her back to Edmund drawing him closer to her to where they were almost molded together. She was drawing him in along with the music and dancing. Just giving into the music and the redheaded siren with green eyes.
Heart racing, feeling the need to cool down, along with feeling famished, Edmund drew Rose away from the dance floor.
"Shall we get some food and more drinks? I'm feeling a strong hunger." Edmund gazing into her eyes, his words having a double meaning.
Rose nodded, she saw the look in his eyes, the hunger that was there, her own reflected his desire. Before they left the floor, Rose pulled his head downward giving Edmund a passionate kiss, which caused him to freeze momentarily, then he pulled her in closer.
"Food first." Rose whispered, when their lips parted.
Edmund nodded, he wasn't certain just what was happening, he was rather interested in Rose. She probably was just looking out for a good time and he wasn't going to be someone to judge as he was--doing the same.
There was a mental scoff at himself, Edmund thinking over what Drew had said earlier. He dismissed any other thoughts, looking to pay attention to the fiery red head at his side who was leading him by the hand to a table.
Ed had lost sight of Drew but felt the man was going to be rather busy, and so was he.
Rose caught sight of Cecelia and Drew, giving a smile. Edmund catching the direction of her gaze and looked. He smiled broadly, tonight was going to be a goodnight hopefully for the two of them. Rose pulled his attention away, giving him another kiss.
