Mission:
The Cure: Operation Kakori
Location: Crew Quarters USS Valiant
Timeline: MD004 2000 hrs
Edmund was grateful for the quiet of the quarters he was sharing with one of the crew of the Valiant. The man didn't seem to mind sharing. Right now Edmund was alone, working on a drawing.
He looked at his left wrist which had a brace upon it. Edmund was told he'd need to have the brace to allow the the repair work that had been done, to remain steady. He looked down at the drawing he had begun. Giving a frown, he was rather glad it wasn't his right hand that had been broken.
He had gotten paper and pencil from the replicator, needing to make a record of the Cardassian woman who he fought. Edmund gave a grimace at the memory, the pain he experienced when she snapped his wrist. He paused for a moment reaching up, his fingers brushed along his neck, remembering the sensation of having something wrapped around his neck, it feeling like a rope and yet, it wasn't, it was his assailant's hair.
It was strange to him to think about the texture of said hair, then again when your very life was being choked out of you, the brain can remember odd things.
Line upon line, shading, giving ample details as to her facial features, even the style of clothing the woman wore. He wondered if the Valiant crew knew of her, did the chief of intelligence know of her? Did the CO of the Valiant know of her? Does Tremble know of her? Would Jayna know of her? These questions popped up in his mind while he drew.
He lost a couple of hours as he made the sketches, brief quick sketches as to what his team had done. Those where roughly drawn, he would refine them later on.
The most important was the woman whom he had fought and lost to. Almost dying. He knew she was a pro, her skills were deadly, he'd not come across someone like her before. Well except for one, and that was long ago. She was a friendly, her code name was Firefly. She and he had done a bit of sparring. She liked to push the boundaries when it came to training. As in making him feel the pain in order to teach him what to avoid when fighting someone like her.
He wondered where she was at, the woman was difficult to keep track of. Then again, with her being in intelligence, and Firefly being elusive. Edmund didn't know back then, when she was going to show up, and just shadow him.
Edmund gave out a slightly hoarse chuckle, the woman was relentless, when trying to surprise him and succeeding quite a number of times until his sense sharpened. She was pleased that he was catching on.
For a moment, Edmund let his mind drift back even further towards his past. When he was on the other station. Firefly had been there, working with Letsul. And the Asian woman for some reason took interest in him. Even though he wasn't interested in a relationship, had decided to challenge him, and cause him to be looking over his shoulder. Popping out when he least expected and they would spar.
She had told Edmund that he needed to get a bit more trained, just in case he ever came across someone who had her skills. He hadn't remembered. He had slacked in keeping up his training, that she had given to him. That was going to change. He had to get himself back in shape and to be healed.
Edmund determined he needed to get back in touch with Firefly, would she answer him? Would she give him instructions again? It had been a wake up call for Edmund, time to sharpen up his skills more. He needed to be ready in case he came across the Wraith
There was one other person he needed to talk with and that was Wooz. Different training partners, his own training program to be updated.
Edmund looked at the finished image, of that woman who injured him, almost killed him. This was something that he felt that the intelligence team as well as Tremble needed to know about. And would the command of the Valiant know who this woman was?
If not, then this would be vital information that the Intelligence people would need. And perhaps find out who she was. With a grunt he rose from the table. Picking up his paper. Time to meet with those on the Valiant and give them the image of the woman who he had fought and lost to.
