Lieutenant Commander Hermia O'Rourke
Wed Sep 24th, 2025 @ 9:44am
For the month of August this award goes to our good doctor. It takes a lot of skill to keep multiple balls in the air and the doctor does it with aplomb. Not only do they keep up with the medical stories, but they manage to stay ahead of the plots with their multiple NPCs. Well done.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Michael Harris
Tue Aug 26th, 2025 @ 5:22pm
It is great when a background character has a chance to shine. For the month of July Michael Harris has stepped to the forefront as he works on closing a portal that no one has ever seen before. But hey he drinks and he knows things.
Petty Officer 2nd Class Sofia Cipriani
Wed Jul 16th, 2025 @ 7:15pm
For the month of June we recognize the Captain's Yeoman. Mainly for putting up with the Captain lol. Seriously though, it takes a great player to realize when it is time for a change. Often in the simming world we get comfortable in our characters and our roles in the story. However, when things get stagnant it is time for a change. It is for this reason the Cipriani receives this award. Having been brought to the forefront for both personal and story reasons.
Lieutenant Commander Alyssa Maren
Sat Jun 21st, 2025 @ 8:36pm
For the month of May Alyssa Maren has earned this award. For their contributions to the main storyline and keeping the plot from getting stagnant. It is always great to see someone pick up the ball and run with it.
Lieutenant Colonel Cornelius Tremble
Tue May 27th, 2025 @ 6:34pm
For the month of may there truly is no one better deserving for this award. Between planning a large part of the current mission, and assisting with day to day operations the Colonel does it all. Along with that this month he showed the more humorous side to command when he criticized some of his team for their romantic choices.
Lieutenant Vura
Sat Apr 12th, 2025 @ 10:51pm
For the month of March 2025 this award goes to our Chief Counselor Vura. In the simming community most of the time you see posts that are either mission related or character development related. Personally, I prefer to read the posts that are both as rare as those may be. This month saw Vura doing just that, writing posts that both developed their character and others as well as adding to the mission plot. It is great work like this that truly epitomizes what this award stands for.
Sergeant Audie Fitch
Mon Mar 24th, 2025 @ 7:34pm
For the month of February 2025 Audie has more than earned this award. Every post they write adds depth and development to this wonderful character. Even in mission related posts we learn a lot about who this person is and how they intereact with their surroundings. I look forward to seeing what this little Field Medic has in store for us. Keep up the great work.
Commodore Tyler Malbrooke
Sun Feb 16th, 2025 @ 8:45pm
Behind the scenes and in them, Tyler drives this bus. In the last mission, The Evil that Lays Beneith and specifically in the aftershock, he's explored the dark road and started the long journey walking back to normal. A walk like that isn't easy and I'm excited to see hot the after affects continue to show up in the character. Nice writing boss!
Lieutenant Junior Grade Rachel Sinclair
Sun Dec 8th, 2024 @ 1:03am
For the month of November this award goes to Rachel Sinclair. This character has been integral in getting the new mission started with a great nightmare post. This post set the stage for what this mission is to feel like to readers.
Lieutenant Colonel Cornelius Tremble
Thu Oct 24th, 2024 @ 12:45am
For the month of September I see no one better than our own Executive Officer for this award. Throughout September he was quite literally a posting machine, writing posts that added to the overall story and were compelling to read. Additionally he restructured The Cure to allow for the influx of new players which adds to the general canon that is the Pioneer. He would tell you that he was doing his job as XO but at times eyes have to be pointed in the correct direction to see all that goes on. Great work and thank you for everything.
Lieutenant Vura
Mon Sep 9th, 2024 @ 11:35pm
For the month of July Vura exemplified this award. When the Senior Staff was stranded in a bubble universe. Vura was one of two crew members who led the charge to get everyone together and figure a way out. She is very much the style of Counselor that Deanna Troi was using psychology to get out of most any situation. Keep up the great work!
Lieutenant Commander Elen Diari
Mon Sep 9th, 2024 @ 11:35pm
For the month of August Elen Diari shows us that humor is very often the cure to any situation. When life through her lemons she made lemonade and sat in the corner and drank it until she was returned to her home universe. Sometimes in a story such as ours it can be hard to sit back and let events transpire. Yet Elen did it with a smile. Great work.
Lieutenant Commander Hermia O'Rourke
Sat Jun 8th, 2024 @ 8:02pm
For the month of May this award goes to Hermia O'Rourke. The good doctor was the first to be brought into the Bubble Universe and has been working exceptionally hard to push that side of the plot. Add to that the brillant work they are doing with their NPCs on the other sides of the plot and you have one hell of a great month. Thank you for all you do.
Lieutenant Narin Valen
Thu May 9th, 2024 @ 12:40am
For the month of April Lieutenant Junior Grade Narin Valen earned this award. The Assistant Chief Science has been quite visable since joining the ship. They have joined into the plot and hit the ground running. It has also been interesting to see as this character has joined the ship while all of this chaos is going on. I especially enjoyed their work with the other science team members in figuring out where everyone is going.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Jordan Spencer
Tue Apr 2nd, 2024 @ 6:19pm
For March 2024 I would like to give this award to Jordan Spencer. As I read through some of the posts, in particular the ones involving the state of the ship he seems to stand out. Professionally distant and yet still caring about what happens. Spencer always seems to be pushing the plot from the background, and that is something that is extremely admirable.
Sergeant Major Lachlan Barr
Tue Mar 26th, 2024 @ 12:55am
For February 2024 I would like to give Lachlan Barr the Character of the Month Ribbon. Even though he is a member of the Command Team his work on this mission thus far has to be recognized. With the XO taken away, the 2XO out of her mind, and the Captain overtaken Lachlan has been thrust into the center chair. He has shown that a Marine is always up for a challenge. This mission would not be a success without all that you do. Keep up the great work.
Lieutenant Commander Rowena McGowen
Wed Jan 17th, 2024 @ 12:44am
Even thought Rowena is a member of the Command Team here on the Pioneer she has taken center stage with the current mission. Not only is her character in the center of it all but behind the scenes she is making sure the plot runs smoothly and everyone has a part to play. For these reasons and more I award her the Character of the Month for December 2023.
Lieutenant Ja'sol H'ros
Mon Nov 13th, 2023 @ 12:00am
For the month of September I would like to award Ja'sol character of the month. Through the Crooked River mission we saw him play his unique race in a rather delicate situation with a fellow crew member. Something he handled with aplomb. In every situation he continues to give us a little more of this interesting character. Keep up the great work.
Lieutenant Vura
Sat Nov 11th, 2023 @ 9:45pm
Lieutenant Vura's arrival aboard the Pioneer has been like a wild fire. Lots of very good writing that's gotten a great many NPC's dusted off and out writing. I don't think I've seen this much activity during a shore leave scene and Vura's writer has been busy. Nice work.

Tue Jul 4th, 2023 @ 10:17pm
The month of June saw the beginning of what seems to be a beautiful friendship. Paisley and Vura the two seem to be inseparable and the trouble that they get in is both heartwarming at times and enjoyable to read. So for the month of June 2023 it is my pleasure to award the Ensign with this award. Keep up the great work and I cannot wait to see the journey that you are going to be on.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Rachel Sinclair
Tue Mar 21st, 2023 @ 8:10pm
Reading her journey during the mission, from joining the ship through a prison riot and then watching her friends get injured, this has been a hell of a journey for the reader as well. The overarch of the character came to a head this past month and it has been wonderful to read. Their assistance in keeping the story moving and adding ideas for future plots has been invaluable.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Rachel Sinclair
Thu Feb 9th, 2023 @ 4:26am
The Ensign has really turned up the heat with their writing for the month of January. Not only have they contributed to making a significant contribution to the main plotline but we got a unique glimpse into their psyche in the process. This month was a great look at how the events of a mission can have lasting effects on a person. Keep up the great work.
Captain Edmund Merrick
Mon Jan 2nd, 2023 @ 11:59pm
It is always helpful when a player steps up to help keep a post going when it stalls out, and to keep the plot flowing. Merrick has done all of that and more in the past month. They always pop on the Discord channel to say hello and even ask after someone if they have not signed on in a while. Thank you for being the beacon this award exemplifies.
Lieutenant Paul Michael
Tue Sep 13th, 2022 @ 6:04am
For the month of August we would like to give Paul Michael Character of the Month. He has definitely stepped up his activity and keeps pushing the story along in his piloting of the Marines during the mission. As the mission progresses I look forward to seeing what he comes up with. Keep up the great work.
Lieutenant Commander Alyssa Maren
Tue May 3rd, 2022 @ 3:21am
For giving us an inside look at her character and the ever expanding Science Department. Great Work and I cannot wait to see what you have in store for us next.

Thu Jan 6th, 2022 @ 6:26am
For the month of December we would like to award the Ship's Counselor with the Character of the Month. Lunara has been writing a series of interesting posts as she delves into the mind of a kidnapping victim who has been brainwashed. They took a concept from the previous mission and have written and aftermath that is superbly written. It has been done so well that we will revisit the supporting character that was kidnapped at a later date.
Lieutenant Colonel Cornelius Tremble
Tue Nov 23rd, 2021 @ 7:25am
The award description says a shining beacon of activity. For this month and for the first granting of this award I can think of no better that Major Tremble. Not only did they assist in getting the last mission buttoned up. But in the month that the new mission has been active they have contributed five posts. All of this while serving as the XO of this ship. A beacon indeed.... Keep up the great work
