Mission:
Episode 16 - Silent Cries
Location: Sal's 20th Century Diner, Empok Nor
Timeline: MD002 0930 hrs
Azure and Marisol sat in Sal's enjoying a double plate of blue berry pancakes.
Azure had found it on the first day of their leave and they'd come here every day for breakfast ever since.
Marisol had laughed at the jargon the cook and waitresses used. They called what they were eating now 'Bloob gibbicks; for instance.
Hearing the door bell ring, Marisol looked up to see a familar face. Her bother, Tomas. "What was he doing here?" She wondered.
Spotting her, he approached the their booth.
As he got close, Marisol asked. "Tomas, what the Hell are you doing here?"
"Well, that's a fine greeting for your favourite brother." Tomas replied.
"You're my only brother, Tomas, and that didn't answer my question." Marisol said.
"I was in the neighbourhood and I heard the Pioneer was docked here, so I used my contacts to track you down, so I could say 'Hola'."
"Hola." Marisol said. "Cut the crap, Tomas, Mama and Papa sent you, didn't they?"
"Yes, they wanted my opinion of Azure..." Turning to Azure he said with a smile. "Hola, Mamacita Thompson."
"Finish your sentence, before making nice with my girlfriend." Marisol said.
"Its okay, Mari, I find him charming." Azure said.
Tomas smiled. "I like her." He said.
The Transporter Operator rolled her eyes, "Don't encourage him."
"As I was saying, Mama and Papa wanted my opinion of Azure, before they officially meet her." Tomas said.
"I know they wanted me to find a nice Mexican boy, settle down, and give them grandchildren, but that's not me." Marisol said. "I love Azure, and I want to spend the rest of my life with her."
Azure smiled and softly squeezed Marisol's hand. "My parents would be happy to have Marisol as part of our family." She said.
"Papa is the one that was invested in that, Mama's just glad you found someone who loves you." Tomas clarified.
"That's right, I'll get him onside."
"Yeah, but what about the members of House TakH, your Klingon house, would they want an Andorian in their House?"
"I hope they'll embrace her as a fellow warrior." Marisol replied.
"Perhaps." Tomas said. Perhaps not."
"We'll see." Replied Marisol.
